TITLE: Part Time Visitor Services Associate
General Description:
Responsibilities include: welcoming and servicing all museum visitors, collecting donations and admissions, soliciting memberships, promoting and assisting gift shop sales, opening an closing of Museum and galleries, and assisting in general front-of-house tasks as needed. The hours are Wednesday evenings from 4:00-8:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am - 5:00pm.
Specific Duties:
1. Supervise front of house staff and volunteers
2. Work with the Director and staff on planning and implementation of visitor-related activities
3. Coordinate all admissions and ticketing efforts
4. Meet with public and ensure a satisfactory visitor experience
5. Assist Director and other staff with occasional museum-related projects as needed
6. Provide visitors with information on current exhibitions, membership and upcoming educational programs and events
7. Answer incoming Museum calls
8. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director
Requirements:
A Bachelors Degree is preferred; students approaching graduation may also apply. Candidates must have strong communication skills with ability to adequately communicate with the public and proficiency in Excel, Word, and general computer skills. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in relating to visitors, reliability, and volunteer supervision.

6. A basic knowledge of contemporary art and architecture
