Residency and Workshop 2024 Showcase
See b.unity youth group members present their new multimedia works created after instructional workshops at the Elmhurst Art Museum.
This residency and workshop with multimedia artist Tony Smith provides provides art instruction and workshops to students at the high school level in response to EAM’s current exhibition, A Love Supreme. The workshops led by Smith will take place March 6 - April 14 with partners Embarc and b.unity.
Tony Smith is a photographer, filmmaker, educator, and exhibiting artist in A Love Supreme at the Elmhurst Art Museum. His work has been exhibited at the Logan Center for the Arts, Hyde Park Art Center, and others. He has held instructor positions at the Hyde Park Art Center, After School Matters, Chicago Arts Partnership in Education, Chicago State University, and the South Side Community Art Center.
The annual artist/educator residency at the Elmhurst Art Museum has been lead by Richard Hull, Irais Bahena, and Jan Tichy.
Residency and workshops sponsored by the Barbara Kujanpa-Saniie Memorial Fund. With tours and curriculum funded in part by a grant from the League of Chicago Theatres and ComEd. This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
