Youth/Family
Family Day: Workshop led by Sentrock
Kids are invited to create artwork with their families inspired by Hispanic culture led by exhibiting artist Sentrock. The artist, who uses a bird mask in his work, will help participants design their own masks and learn about traditional masks made in Mexico. For thousands of years, masks have been used in Mexico as a well-established part of ritual life in a form of folk art used in dances and ceremonies. No registration required. Kids are always free at the museum.
Activity will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Supplies are first come, first serve.
Generously sponsored by Wintrust and the Museum’s Development and Programming Committees
