Matthew Girson - Murmur of Democracy

Community members are invited to participate in The Murmur of Democracy, a group performance event organized by exhibiting artist Matthew Girson. The event invites audience members to reflect on the successes and failures of Democracy by reading and listening to each other - and for each other. Held on the 85th anniversary of the Wannsee Conference in Nazi Germany, at which top Nazi officials met to establish and begin organizing the Final Solution to the Jewish Question as State policy. Held in the McCormick House designed by Mies van der Rohe who fled Nazi oppression and moved to Chicago in 1938.
