'Judie Kahlo' by Cassandra Swinrenga
The Elmhurst Artists' Guild (EAG) is sponsoring a juried art exhibition; Engaging Friday in their gallery at the Elmhurst Art Museum. Inspired by the Frida Kahlo: Timeless exhibition at the Cleve Carney Museum of Art at the College of DuPage, the artwork will respond visually to Frida Kahlo's paintings, life, politics, and/or identity.
Opening Reception
July 16th, 6:30-9 pm
This will be a fiesta-style reception with tacos and tamales, music and refreshments, and a time to gather with our friends. Awards will be presented at 8:00 pm by guest judge and abstract artist, Heidi Becker. Ambassador from Mexico, Reyna Torres, is scheduled to speak. We look forward to an exciting evening.
